Visiting the Northwest Trek Game Park

Mobility:

The Northwest Trek Game Park has some up and down paths. None were real steep, but could be difficult for someone with mobility issues. They did have both electric scooters and wheelchairs, but a very limited number.

Food and Drink:

There was a single place to purchase food and drink called The Forest Cafe. It was located near the entrance. There was no inside seating. They had hamburgers, bean burgers, chicken tenders and personal pizzas. They also had things to drink as well as snacks like pretzels, churros, and cotton candy. There menu included listings for vegan, vegetarian, “made with local ingredients” and gluten friendly. I didn’t actually see any menu items with the “gluten friendly” symbol next to them.

Souvenirs:

There was a small gift shop, with very limited items.

Safety:

Being in the Pacific Northwest, the paths can get a little slick.

Miscellaneous:

I would like to provide a special note on the driving tour. It is quite expensive ($110 at this posting) and it is a “no stop” tour. The lead car keeps moving so taking photos can be quite challenging, especially if you are by yourself, like I was. It reminded me of a zoo train, but using in your own car. There were also a limited number of animals (all hoofed mammals) to see, with several of the hoofed mammals fairly easy to see in the wild nearby .
