International Tiger Day

This day is celebrated so that humans and tigers can coexist harmoniously. Though there is only a single species of tiger (which is listed as endangered), some of the various subspecies are are considered critically endangered (for example the Amur tiger, Sumatran tiger, and Malayan tiger).
