World Snake Day

A few days after Shark Awareness Day we have World Snake Day. This day was set up to increase the awareness of different snake species around the world. There are lots of negative links made with snakes, so the idea behind the day was to highlight their importance in the world’s ecosystem and that many snakes are not harmful if handled correctly.
